Megan Magnant
I’ve been training dogs since I was 15, and dogs and dog sports have been a huge part of my life ever since. I started doing agility with my first dog, Legend, in 1998 and have trained and competed with several dogs over the years. I’ve also had the opportunity to help train many different dogs and breeds, which has given me experience working with a wide variety of personalities, learning styles, and abilities.
Over the years, I’ve competed and trained in agility, disc/frisbee, flyball, dock diving, and Fast CAT. One of my proudest accomplishments was having my Border Collie, Roxy, win the AKC National Agility Championship in 2010.
I currently have three dogs: Vibe, my Border Collie, and my Chihuahuas, Hazy and Ace. I’m always training, learning, and finding new ways to have fun with my dogs, including training them for animal acting.
Dog sports have also become a family activity. My daughters, Vivian and Claire, have recently started their own agility journeys, and I love being able to share something I’m passionate about with them.
When I’m not training dogs, I enjoy paddleboarding, doing puzzles, and spending time with my family and dogs. I’m excited to share my experience and love of agility and help others have fun while building a great partnership with their dogs!I’ve been training dogs since I was 15, and dogs and dog sports have been a huge part of my life ever since.
